Sayryn, Cautionary Tales (self-released)
“My favorite surprise of the summer was discovering Sayryn,
whose quiet-loud-quiet take on folk-grunge offers a refreshing
alternative to contemporary ’90s revivalists. Cautionary Tales
is a sparse and haunting collection of vignettes anchored by the
powerful twin vocals of Bryn Jahna and Saya, who weave their
talents around bleak depictions of youth and young womanhood.
Perfect vibes for your next seance or coven meeting.”

bio
Sayryn is a Nashville based duo known for their haunting melodies and introspective lyricism. The name “Sayryn” is perfect for the conjoined partnership of Bryn Jahna & Saya, who as writers pen their deepest insecurities, shared perspectives and thoughts on the world around them. While the music itself blends everything from old school folk to 90’s grunge, they also draw inspiration from existential literature and horror films, creating a distinct sound.
